"...beautiful and enthralling...a gifted storyteller...her siren-like voice accompanied by the guitar create a layered effect not often found in solo acoustic music."
-Dennis Halsey, Best Female Musicians, Signed and Unsigned www.bestfemalemusicians.com

Joy Mills is a singer-songwriter who captures an essence of fullness in her songs. Of the folk nature, she combines resonating guitar sounds, a fresh-sounding mandolin, and alluring vocals. Imagery, metaphor, and intricate lyrics invoke a lucid and warm atmosphere. Sprouting from Iowa, she moved to Seattle in 1999, and has been performing ever since at local bars and Irish pubs, coffee shops, and benefits. She performs both solo and in the company of duo partner Tom Parker. Her songs come through with a captivating quality, a great companion for road trips, coffee shops, and contemplative moments. She is a performing member of Indiegrrl, and has released her debut CD, "Rabblerouser."
