Hey, WooHoo this year I won 2 Blue diamond awards for songs on The Well! The title song the Well and The Burden Slide both won awards. And on the subject of awards I was on the winning team for the Tunesmith 2005 song write off! We won 1st place for Hearing Voices. I have been changing the last several years.I think I am becoming closer to what I have always desired. I spent many years ignoring the voice that told me to write because I was too busy pursuing the career that I thought was proper for my talents and training. I guess I should add the word safe. I didn't really want to take chances or try for something that I really wanted cause I was afraid that not achieving my dreams would be too painful and embarassing. Anyway life has its way and the things that my heart wasn't into were stripped away leaving much less resistance for the things I dreamed of. My songs are about life,and lessons that I am learning. I believe that all of life works for good so I look for the blessings in every event.Therefor I'll call my music positve. Is it positve pop? I don't know what is pop? I really love writers like Patty Griffen and Paul Thorn.What do you call thier writing? Southern? singer/songwriter? I dunno.
