I am a former student of jazz saxophone giant Don Lanphere,
and a songwriter for Roy Buchanan's group. I take this turbulent inner darkness that I carry with me always as a challenge, and try to transform it into something light and free. It is the least kindness I can offer you. There but for fortune go you or I. Through jazz, folk & blues, I have arrived at a different music--sad, sensual and mysterious. I am following the inner thread of thought back to the wellsprings of song. Childhood is paradise, everything since is a search for refuge, or respite. My voice is raspy, tender and grounded in the mess that is life. The dream of stillness, of peace, of real love, leaves me grasping hollow straws, but when I do succeed in building a sunny place in thought and music, I want to live there forever. I hope you do,too.

This CD also features Mark Hibbert, formerly with Merilee
Rush("Angel of the Morning") on bass.
