"Just Taste It" is the debut release from Blaike and it features Blaike's warm vocal style, introspective lyrics and layered acoustic guitar arrangements. Audiences are able to connect with Blaike's genuine emotion and often cutting truth. This album evokes a range of feelings from the listener as Blaike takes on politics, apathy, heartbreak, and tragedy. If you're a fan of the acoustic guitar and you are hungry for an intelligence and social conscience not often seen in today's music, Blaike "Just Taste It" will fill your appetite. A throwback to the 70's singer/songwriter with a modern twist, Blaike's audience tends to be fans of James Taylor, Bob Dylan, Nick Drake and more recently, David Gray and Shawn Mullins. More on Blaike can be found at imsrecords.com and blaike.com Notable Notes: On the title, "Just Taste It": - I would just like people to give the music a try. That's all I ask. I thought it was similar to when someone offers you a new food. If you don't like it, that's fine. Just taste it once because you never know if it might become your favorite. On the serious nature of the music: - I try to write what I feel and what I believe in. My own fulfillment with music comes from my connection to its truth and meaning. I think so many songs these days are "churned" out without any underlying substance or emotion. Some people may hate social commentary and perhaps the role of the songwriter should be solely to entertain. I simply write as an outlet and I need to write the kind of songs that allow the outlet to be successful. Check out the artist's website: http://www.imsrecords.com Track List: 1.
