Paul Crepeau was born in Massachusetts and raised in Michigan, but resided in Colorado for eight years before settling on the Big Island of Hawai'i where he currently dwells. His most profound musical influences have come through artists such as Joni Mitchell, Gordon Lightfoot, Townes Van Zandt, Bob Dylan, Kate Wolf, Mississippi John Hurt, Hank Williams, and Muddy Waters, to name but a few.
The fifteen original songs on STRANGERS IN THE DOORWAY arose out of a need to connect with an audience that is for the most part ignored by the corporate music world--an audience who can recognize the ring of truth in a simple, honest lullaby. It is Paul's first album, although he has been penning songs on and off for the past 25 years.
Also a children's author, Paul's book BIG BEN AND THE SMALL WORLD is available at www.booksbypaul.com and can be found in song form on his C.D. under the title "Ballad of Big Ben."
