"Trickle Down" is Cory's first release. After many frustrating (and expensive) attempts to press a CD in other people's studios, Cory decided to do it all herself. This album inculdes 10 original songs, all written, performed, and produced by Cory. Her simple blend of honest lyrics, rich harmonies, and guitar picking makes the songs of "Trickle Down" come alive.

While the album was being conceived, Cory experienced two major losses which helped her keep on pushing to finish: the first being her mother who died of Leukemia in the summer of 2000 ("Back to Utah"), and the latter being Nine friends who perrished in a plane crash in January of 2001 ("Nine New Stars").
Although some of the inspiration came from these losses, Cory also owes a great deal of credit to her fiancee whose love and support kept her moving over the rough road ("Your Wife", "Fairy Tale", and "Falling").

Cory's voice has often been compared to folk Divas like Joan Baez, Judy Collins, and Joni Mitchell. Cory's admiration for these artists, and others stands out in all her songs; some influences are a matter of theme or harmony, other influences are more straight forward. (Hey Mr. Dylan).

Cory was born and raised in Salt Lake City Utah. She began playing the piano at her mother's requirement at the age of six--not until much later would she appreciate this early introduction to music. Cory began studying classical voice in high school, and continued her studies through college, although not a music major. She spent most of her practice hours at the piano singing the songs of Joni Mitchell, Joan Baez, and Bob Dylan wondering if she could actually write her own songs someday.
At twenty-three Cory moved to San Francisco with an old 6 string Yamaha from her mother's house and taught herself how to play the thing. During this transition in her life, she found solace in writing songs for the first time. While living in the Bay Area, she started performing at various open-mics, and landed her first regular gig by luck at the Golden Gate Yacht Club.
While loving the diversity the Bay Area offered, Cory realized that quitting her day job and living in San Francisco as an independent musician was more than she bargained for. So in the fall of 2000, after her mother passed away, she moved back to Utah to be near her family and fiancee, ski Utah powder, and to seriously pursue her music career. Cory is a performing member of "Indiegrrl", and organization that works to support independent women musicians.
