ABALONE DOTS The band first got together in the spring 2000. The members are: Rebecka Hjukström 19 years. Singing lead and vocals. Playing guitar and five string-banjo. Elin Mörk, 20 years. Singing lead and vocals. Playing fiddle. Sophia Hogman, 20 years. Singing lead. Playing mandolin, cello and key-harp. Louise Holmer 22 years. Singing lead and vocals. Playing upright base and piano. Inge Ludvigsson. Singing. Playing guitar and mandolin. Tord Hjukström Singing and playing Dobro, banjo and whatever. (Abalone Dots are the dots on the fingerboard of a guitar or a mandolin, referring to the Girls of course) During 2003 the Abalone Dots won the finest prize in the "Musik Direkt final" which is supposed to be the greatest talent contest in Sweden. Playing in Tanzania at the "Music Crossroad Festival of Southern Africa" We played both radio and national TV during 2004. A lot of festivals in Sweden and in Oct. a tour in USA Described below.
