The artist still known as Steve Clark has been writing and performing his songs for nearly 4 dog-years. He is a member of the Southwest Virginia Songwriters Association(SVSA) and pounds the pavement regularly with his dog, Spot. Dog Joggin' includes 11 songs by the artist plus one each by fellow SVSA songwriters Mike Pearell (Justine) and Greg Trafidlo (Simple As Dirt). A version of Tish Hinojosa's "Love Is On Our Side" is included to help balance the somewhat quirky nature of this recording. It may be true that this is a singer/songwriter/dogowner project, but the production was crafted to entertain first and, like a good rawhide bone, will leave your hound howlin' for more. This recording features many fine musicians including Nashville's Rick Gordon on guitar, Harris Levy on sax and flute, and renowned independent artists Elise Witt, Barb Martin, and Greg Trafidlo on various harmony vocals.
