Cosmic Americana has been in my mind for sometime. It is the record I always wanted to record. After relocating to Covesville Virginia and several trips out west I began to preproduction work in a makeshift studio in the basement of a rented farm house. The imagery was in my head but the gloom of the basement (after leaving my previous studio I built in Pa) was not conducive to what I was trying to accomplish. Soon after I began work on an unrelated project with well known producer Jim Sampas. During these sessions in Boston I managed to capture the begging of what would become Cosmic Americana. My wife who I can't thank enough convinced me to move just the gear I needed upstairs into a small room she had redecorated in a south western theme. Working together we created a space where I was able to record, mix and master Cosmic Americana.

Cosmic Americana is tribute, critique and emotional journey. It evokes feelings of wanderlust, freedom and concern for the future against a backdrop of optimism. The songs are acoustic in nature with strong rhythms and catchy melodies. Cosmic Americana has been compared to Wilco, Cowboy Junkies and the later Beck in its style but retains a highly original nature all its own. Have a listen and decide for yourself.
