"Infuse the smoothness of Sarah McLachlan with the rock flair of Tori Amos. Add a dash of home-grown folk music and you have Stephanie Forryan."
~Anne McFarlande, Musician

"Stephanie is a powerhouse of vocal sound with lyrics that haunt you long after the last note has sounded."
~Jane B Winans, Author

"Sweet life eminates from Stephanie's chords."
~Michael Jerden of Hello Leonard

Stephanie's music is a refreshing mixture of rock, singer-songwriter and folk, with her eclectic music tastes reflected in the music she writes. Her off-beat, percussive guitar parts contrast well with her smooth alto vocals, giving her a unique flair among singer-songwriters. With music ranging from the gentle, folk love song, I Can't Help It to the blues/rock Das Geht Auch Vorbei, listeners are drawn in by her insightful lyrics, dynamic compositions and entrancing voice.

Stephanie officially began her music career in January of 2003 in Northampton, Massachusetts, home to many artists and singer-songwriters. It was in the summer of 2003 that she recorded her first album, a thirteen track, self-titled acoustic collection of songs with catchy, singable melodies and heart-felt performances. Over the course of the year her music was featured in theater productions ranging from classical Shakespeare to experimental performance pieces and was also heard on stages ranging from the Iron Horse in Northampton to the stage of The Dream Festival in Rochester, MA.

Stephanie's recent move to Berlin, Germany has brought her to new places musically as well as physically. Performing both new and earlier work, she is currently experimenting with electronic and a cappella music and is preparing to record her second album.

I won't be held back,
I was for far too long.
Now I am here
and here is where I'll be made strong.
I need no convincing.
I am the one driving.
And I will see you there,
From the other side.
I'd rather be there
Even if it means free falling.
