This album going back on the market is a testament of my ability to make peace with the folly of my youth. -Aug. 2005 (bio written in Dec. 2000): How I started writing songs: I was living in the desert; I was hot and bored and hungry. I pulled a guitar out of the closet and learned a C chord. Then I learned an F chord and wrote my first song. Ugh, it was so bad. I moved out of the desert and returned to civilization. That's when things really started rolling. I now live in Brooklyn right near McCarren park, which has a garden and tennis courts, a track. there is also an a big, old, cracked-up, empty pool nearby. If I had a million dollars I would probably spend it on that-getting that old pool back into shape. It's really a beautiful pool. Things I like: painting, birds, bikes, high-school tracks, plants, showers, public pools, rollerblades, old curtains, "found" items such as clothes, glasses and money, my darling railroad apartment, my darling cat, and my darling husband.
