"Magic Time" is Jim Franklin's second CD in Hawaii. The first " Restless Winds" sold out within one year and never went back to print. Jim took a break from music to open a new art gallery..(so he could really make a living!) After five years too much work and not enough music, he took a break and began writing again and the music poured out. The songs on this CD reflect a lot of living and a lot of positive energy. The two instrumentals are a wonderful blend of two guitars that will take you soaring over mountain tops and down great waterfalls. Other songs like "Wind in my Sails" will put you right there with Jim on the" Free Spirit" a 48' tri hull sail boat that he performs on and sails throughout Hawaii. This CD consists of good songwriting and great production utilizing many instruments such as a grand piano, a hammond organ, accordian, violin, steel drums, bass guitar, and wonderful percussion work. The whole CD is a pleasure to listen too and the words have real meaning. The cover art was painted by Peggy Chun one of Hawaii's most beloved artists. When she heard "Coincidence" a song that she inspired, she insisted on doing the cover design. As an added attraction the cover art is available as a 8x10 matted to 11x14 print signed by both Jim and Peggy. This is a great CD for your collection. And coming soon...Magic Time Wine!
