david greco doesn't think of himself as a guitar player (though he's done plenty of studio work as one). he also doesn't think of himself as a singer (though he's been singing for as long as he can remember - he was even awarded best male vocal of his jr. high school). david greco is a songwriter and he likes it that way.

"i just don't find myself wanting to play covers very often," says greco. "when i hear a song i like, i'm inspired to write - not to learn that song."

the discussion of topic is greco's latest batch of songs. "it's kind of a concept album," says greco of his most recent release. "i never thought i was that type of writer, but as i looked at the songs i'd written, prior to entering the studio, i realized i was telling a story."

just so we're clear, the discussion of topic is a heart-break record about a very specific heart-break but it doesn't end there. it asks, "why is there hurt? what good does it do? why would GOD allow this pain?" deeply honest and deeply spiritual, "the discussion of topic" is sure to provoke questions, but that's not its point. "there is hope. it's not just some abstract idea. and if the questions we're asking don't lead us to that hope, then i think we've been asking the wrong questions."

in the discussion of topic, david greco asks all the right questions.
