"When writing music I'm an artist, when playing I'm a musician, but when I'm performing - I'm an entertainer."

Playing just about anywhere he can and loving every minute of it, Dave Boodakian is not your average singer/songwriter. In the footsteps of men like Jack Black, Stephen Lynch, and Matt Nathanson, Dave will make you laugh, make you listen, then he will rock your socks off. In a given show Dave's songs may range from slow, carefully crafted ballads to in-your-face folk songs about lesbians, to rap medleys, played and sang solo acoustic.

"When I go to see live music, I want to be entertained, I want to be impressed with the quality of music, and I want to feel the music the way the artist does. That's exactly what I try to give my audience, whether it's 2 people or 200."

Raised in Boston, and performing classical guitar since age 9, Dave has spent countless hours in front of an audience whether at nursing homes or in the mean streets of Harvard Square singing and playing everything from rap songs to folk ballads. Now as a midshipman at the U.S. Naval Academy, Dave has been known to be found rocking as the front man for the Harper Collins Band and solo at bars and coffee houses in the Annapolis/Baltimore/DC area.

Dave's CD, "High School Hero" is a work 2 years in the making and focuses on the lost art of writing great lyrics. Pulled from his life experiences, Dave has a way of jumping out and grabbing his audience with songs that are not just trite expressions of emotion, but carefully crafted works of art, relating to the high school hero in all of us.
