'Blue Satin Alley' is a unique collection of spine tingling and hauntingly atmospheric songs. The songs are as eclectic and individual as the processes by which they were created. Recorded, mixed and mastered in 12 days, and some tracks being spontaneously written on the spot, the album is textured with blues, folk, and rock. Of Blue Satin Alley, Abigail said: "Although I like to leave all my songs open to the unique interpretations of each listener, I suppose I was trying to communicate this feeling of yearning for something greater than the mundane and the worldly, that all human beings seem to have. This is why there are often references to the spiritual through religious iconography/symbols, and a desire to escape from suffering. I wanted the songs though, to ultimately speak of hope and I wanted the characters in the songs to represent the dignity and perseverance of humanity. I hope therefore that it is an uplifting album".
