"Combine John Mayer, Damien Rice, and Jason Mraz and what do you get? No, not a three-headed, guitar playing, girl-magnet (but close). You get Aaron Kaufman in his debut solo album, For the Long Ride Home. In a style that resembles the previously named artists, yet remains completely unique, Aaron provides a pleasurable listening experience from start to finish. While it would have been easy for this teenage love rocker to simply slip into the world of trite lyrics and chords, Aaron’s songs stray far from the expected, and will keep you hushing everyone else in the room, just so that you can catch every word. This album explores relationships at a very deep level, with some amazing music to guide the listener from the blossoming of a relationship, through the courtship, and to the bitter end. This is an album that you could listen to repeatedly, catching new things each time, and yet each song stands on its own merits. Those who have seen this rising star live may wonder if the album is worth buying, because admittedly young artists do not always produce the best recordings. Mr. Kaufman’s recording may in fact be better than his live show, because some world-class musicians back him on several instruments. Jenna Bollard lends her vocal talents to several songs, providing a wonderful contrast to Aaron’s own voice. This is the album that will often be playing on your iPod and computer, frequently in your head, and always in your heart. Recommended if you like John Mayer, Damien Rice, Dave Matthews, Dashboard Confessional, Death Cab For Cutie, Jack Johnson, or Jason Mraz." -Pablo Kenney Check out the artist's website: http://www.aaronkaufmanmusic.com Track List: 1.
