It has been 5 years since the debut album “Look and See” was released by rock/alternative/pop band Five Story Fall. The album was very well received in the Omaha, NE area with songs like “Absolute” and “Smash” that made many rotations on radio stations in both Omaha and Lincoln.

Today, 5 Story Fall has a new sound and energy, and another album under its belt. The new album, “Leaving Everything Behind”, is a suitable album name for a band that has been through so much. 5 Story Fall has spent the past 3 years, on and off, writing and recording. Much of the time was spent honing in on the “new sound” of the band and focusing on the writing skills of songsmith Pat Gerhman. With heartfelt lyrics and a superb ability to write memorable melodies, this is where the band decided to focus the attention.

5 Story Fall has a sound that is familiar but difficult to label. The music has been compared to The Jayhawks on the alt-country side, to the Goo Goo Dolls on the rock side. 5 Story Fall combines a recipe of sounds, putting the influences of Country, Folk and Pop together with a heart of Rock. The 12 songs on “Leaving Everything Behind” have similarities enough to tie the album together as a whole with subtle nuances that keep each listen as interesting as the first.
