Nancy Cassidy, one of the country's most popular kids recording artists, is demonstrating a similar appeal to a broader audience with the release of her newest CD, You Reel Me In. Her voice and songs are "imbued with warmth, spice, and intimacy" in this new collection of original music that spans a variety of styles including folk, R&B, and country. Nationally known folk musician, Keith Greeninger, produced You Real Me In and provides soulful guitar and vocals. Multi-instrumentalist, Dayan Kai, adds a jazzy saxophone, piano and organ, and Chicago-born Ronny Crawford provides distinctive rhythms with drums and percussion. Tim Prince and Keith Greeninger mixed You Reel Me In at Ridge Top Studios, Aptos, CA for twitter twatter music.

Nancy released her first original folk CD, Pocketbook Romance, in 1996. This CD showcases Nancy's ability to express her close bond with the natural world and draws inspiration from her youth spent on the family farm in the San Joaquin Valley in CA. Nancy's second original CD, Night Skies, is her most personal CD and focuses on love and loss. She sings poignantly of the bluster of gentle, wild and/or crazy hearts. Ken Whiteley produced both CDs for twitter twatter music.

Both children and parents have been enjoying Nancy's music and holler-along handbooks over the years. Her KidsSongs series, produced by Klutz, includes five CDs. Her first children's CD, KidsSongs: A Holler-Along Handbook, received a Gold Record from the Recording Association of America Inc. KidsSongs Jubilee received both the 1990 Parents' Choice Award for Audio Recording and the American Library Association 'Notable Children's Book' award. In August 2004, Klutz released a two-CD box set and sing-along book combining Nancy's KidsSongs and KidsSongs 2 that received the Oppenheim Toy Portfolio Platinum Award for 2005.

Nancy's voice is frequently heard across the US as she tours singing in museums, schools, libraries, and folk festivals. Her children's music is broadcasted on PBS's Bookworm Bunch.
