Mother Tucker Bluegrass Band consists of seven friends who play bluegrass style music together for the fun of playing music. Banjo, Guitar, 12 String Guitar, Mandolin, Harmonica, Bass, Washtub Bass & Four Part Harmony makes up the sound of this unique group of musicians. All of them are accomplished players with a special feel for the music they play. This CD was recorded live in the studio, with only two retakes, thats right, ten of the songs were recorded on the first take. I'll let you guess which two were retakes. If you like good bluegrass style music with blues overtones and a kick, you'll love this CD. Three of the songs are original, as the rest are traditional or covers. It is a special recording and one that I am proud to have been involved with. The group was started in 2003 on Mothers Day and as the leader of the group, Davis Tucker, it seemed only fitting to name the band the Mother Tucker Bluegrass Band. I hope everyone who listens to this CD enjoys it as much as we have enjoyed bringing it to you.
