SYNTHPHONICS 1 is the first in a series of ambient soundscapes by URM, a sound exploration project created by Jamie Todd of dreamSTATE. This first release of synthphonics features a deep dark ambient loop, Darkness on the Edge of Light, which was created in real time with 11 iterations of Native Instruments' Absynth running on three computers. Synthphonics is a sound exploration process developed by Scott M2 and Jamie Todd of dreamSTATE which randomly weaves looping synthesized parts into an evolving texture. This 55 minute ambient texture is ideal for chilling and spacing or for being the soundtrack for introspective and creative pursuits.
