rick strittmater works as a musician, producer and designer in the maryland and surrounding areas. He has done work in television, film, and video. "Seven" is his 1st CD. It is a bit of a catch all for earlier projects, so it's rather eclectic. His music is lush, smart and at times, beat driven, with dark, edgy atmospherics. He occasionally uses voice as a narrative or textural element. Rick has worked under the name "marsupials apprentice" for a number of projects. The name was given to him by a Buddhist ascetic in Nepal in the early part of 95'. The "seven" CD is a meditation on the "kaas murriki irido san"...which means "collection" Rick writes, plays and produces each project in it's entirety.
