1. Win I wrote and recorded this song while traveling between Chicago and Phoenix on a Digital Audio Workstation. I was not in the best of moods, but then again, I tend to write when things are not going well. 2. Loving You I recorded this song in a Chicago studio. I dropped the first tracks on an upright piano, then sat down on the recording studio's drum set and knocked out the back beat. Next were the lead vocals, and later I hired a few session players..Viola 3. Spare Me Every night I experienced the same demonic nightmare. I wrote this song about it and suddenly the bad dreams stopped. 4. Password While at a friend's recording studio. We started connecting about every sampler, sequencer, and synth available sync'd to a multi track recorder. It was a crazy blur of drumming, singing, saxophone, and guitar playing. 5. Dear Jean A band mate decided to hop a freight train. Getting on was no problem, but jumping off killed him. This song started as a letter written by me to inform his X of the accident. 6. Japan I traveled to Japan with a native guitarist. The trip was intended to be a full band tour, but due to "Spinal Tap" like events, it was just the guitarist and me. We played a session in Nogano with some local musicians. I gained an affinity for the country and it's people. After returning to the States, I wrote and recorded this song on an analog portable studio before converting it to digital. 7. My Parents A debt that can never be paid or over valued. 8. Her Eyes I will never forget her eyes.
