Bikiniwax Music: limited edition vinyl releases
BW.01 - BW.03

(New York, New York) For the past fifteen years,
Corbin Dooley has made his mark producing and championing music on many levels. He currently guides the daily operations of two New York City-based independent record labels (Bikiniwax & Vinylholic), produces a weekly party at East Village staple B3 - featured in Time Out Magazine - and is currently recording with like-minded creative souls such as Powder (DJ and founder of Vinylholic), Reset (the moniker of music industry vet Jeremy Brown), Dibs (recent collaborator with Avril Lavigne, & Jennifer Lopez), and Redboy (the pioneering Oxygen DJ, who recently toured with Lords of Acid).

In 1989, Dooley left his initial music gig at Profile Records in New York (Run-DMC, Rob Base) to work with Nine Inch Nails at TVT Records. The chance to work with Blur, Jesus Jones, & Jeffrey Gaines led Dooley to a gig at SBK/EMI Records in 1991, where he ascended to national marketing director.

Sensing opportunity in the market, Dooley founded indie rock label PCMUSIC in San Diego, California in early 1995. He then joined forces with breakbeat producer DJ Stratus to launch the drum and bass label SUPERCELL. After securing additional venture capital, the two labels released over thirty singles & albums in the next three years, with distribution by ADA. Dooley concurrently expanded into radio by producing and hosting 'Ear Xtasy,' a weekly 3 hour electronica program for San Diego's modern rock station 91X, as well as 'Loudspeaker,' a weekly indie rock specialty show.

In early 2000, yearning for New York's culture, Dooley moved back to New York and began DJing regularly at events around the city. He oversaw the launch of Vinylholic and consulted with indie start-up Derailed. The first release from Bikiniwax, Dooley's new breakbeat label, premiered in the fall of 2001, with two subsequent 12"s in 2002, and three planned for 2003.

Vinylholic's first 12" will see a release date in early fall, with two additional releases slated for winter 2004.

In addition, Dooley continues to consult with a variety of clients on business management, real estate investment, venture capital financing, licensing, and marketing.
