- "We Love Everybody...You're Next" Draws From Diverse Creative Influences - With a dramatic, retro electronic sound that draws from a range of influences, from digital art to fashion, Yellow Note's "We Love Everybody...You're Next" is due from Myutopia Recordings July XX. Renaissance man David Barrat, unveils his third record under the Yellow Note moniker, this time collaborating with celebrated designer/musician Keanan Duffty and internationally renown digital artist Faiyaz Jafri. The lyrics belie the artist's tongue-in-cheek sensibility and the sound moves beyond the simplicity of electro-pop. "Yellow Note's sound gives depth and body to a concept that is simple at its core," says Todd Roberts of Myutopia Recordings. "It doesn't reside in any one place, which gives it a very dramatic, cinematic quality. It's much more appealing than much of the music it would ordinarily be compared to." Barrat and Duffty developed "Perfect World," "Fury" and "Love Resurrection" for one of the designer's New York fashion shows. For "She Gets Me High," Barrat reversed the creative process, scoring the track to a piece of Jafri's provocative digital animation. He finished the record with several more tracks featuring a consistently clean sound and quirky but positive lyrics. As a producer/ remixer/ songwriter, Barrat has worked with Robert Plant, David Bowie, Ginuwine, Family Stand and Jeffery Osbourne, securing two gold records and one platinum record for "Heaven Knows" (Jeffrey Osbourne?). His music has been featured in the motion pictures Two Guys and a Girl, Forces Of Nature, Dog Run, Pretty Woman, Bedazzled and Sister Act. Barrat's music has also been used in radio and television advertising spots for Michelin, BMW, Coke, L.A.Gear, Dr. Pepper, Revlon, Verizon, Sony and Kodak, among many others. Track List: 1.
