Analog Tara performed jazz piano for several years in NYC and has performed electronic music and led recording workshops at venues including the CMJ Music Festival (NYC) and Ladyfest (Chicago & TX). Her music has been released on several compilations, including Source Records/Germany and the Le Tigre Remix album, and she has released 3 full-length albums on her own label, Safety Valve. Tara is also publisher of Pinknoises.com, a web magazine on women DJs and sound artists, which launched in 2000 and was nominated as Best Music Web Site at the 2003 Webby Awards. "Upper Limits of Normal" (2002, 51 min.) is an album of cut 'n paste hip hop instrumentals, shuffling grooves, nice and slow and funky.
