It is named “Source of Power†because it is this music that has fueled both Smith Records and Shogun to expand and create a sensational and daring live experience entitled “Shogun: Love of Life.†Love of Life is a multi-dimensional live show that combines the exhilaration and power of Shogun’s music with captivating theatrical aspects such as lighting and and use of properties (other than the use of instruments, of course!). To add to that, Love of Life was built to be both mobile and condensable if it needed to be, meaning that we can stuff it into small venues - such as local bars and night clubs – to create an strikingly intimate experience without losing any of its luster. The new version of Source of Power will be released some time after the debut of Love of Life, since all of our resources are committed to opening the show. However, the original CD is essentially the same as the future release with only a few differences as listed below. -DIFFERENCES- Recording Quality: None, we want to assure you that the original CD will be of just as good of quality as the new release. Chris Smith recorded the original CD himself, and he did a good job, we’re not going to change it. Album Art: In the beginning, Smith Records and Shogun were almost one and the same, hence the Smith Records’ art work on Shogun’s CD. However, now that both of them have expanded into two distinct entities, we feel that Shogun’s art work should now be on Shogun’s CD, and it will be pending the release! Tracks: The original CD has “5 Minute Sprint,†and the new one will not. In place of 5 Minute Sprint, we will include two versions of “Intensity,†an Entrance Mix that serves as Shogun’s entrance in his show, and a Full Mix (the full version of the song). To make up for this, Smith Records is offering to give away both versions of Intensity for free to anybody who buys the original CD. So, by buying the original Source of Power CD, you’ll get 5 Minute Sprint as well as access to both versions of Intensity, whereas the new release will not have 5 Minute Sprint. Of course, by buying the original Source of Power CD, you’ll also have access to Shogun’s all encompassing music that makes up the rest of the album all the sooner!
