Somewhere nestled between Philadelphia and New York City is the small city of Easton, Pennsylvania. Home to legendary boxing World Champion Larry Holmes, Crayola Crayons and Lafayette College, Easton is a cultured town complete with gas stations and a Perkins. It's the birthplace and home of SETTLE®... Comprised of four musicians, several stringed instruments, a couple of synths, some drums, a practice space and raw natural talent is where settle has molded a unique sound that's danceable, fun, heartfelt, energetic and rich with passion and motion. If it's not the vocal strength exhibited almost effortlessly from singer/keyboard/bass player Mike Pizarro that initially draws you into the groups pulsating sonic aura, then perhaps it's Dave Goletz's eloquent guitar crunch or his tight pants. But if you're ears aren't satisfied with vocal power or gritty guitars, then maybe you should focus in on what the Rose's are doing. Willie Rose (drums/percussion) beats the drums with a quiet confidence, breezing through difficult transitions like it was an elementary school exercise. Or maybe it's his older brother Nick Rose (Guitar/Synths/Bass/Backing Vocals) who will tantalize you're eardrums with his frantic guitar playing, distorted synth pops and hisses and witty on-stage banter. Formed officially in early 2001 settle has seen a slew of different changes. Whether it's line-up changes, artistic and creative growth, or musical influences, the band never slows down; constantly moving, constantly devouring. Early influences include Green Day, Nirvana, R.E.M, U2, and Blink 182 which eventually grew into Radiohead, The Faint and The Yeah Yeah Yeahs among many...many others. "We all collect records," says Nick, "whether it's tapes or cd's or vinyl or whatever... We're constantly looking for cool things so our influences are in a constant state of flux. It's shaky ground to stand on, but it's the only ground we know. We take what we've heard and translate it into what we know and like. I think that's what most artists do." Credits include: Emergenza 2005, Finalist Emergenza 2004, Pulse Music Awards; Best Alternative Band, Best Individual Performer, Best Lead Vocalist and Best Original Song, 2nd Annual Dewey Beach Music Festival, 7/8th Annual Millenium Music Conference, BeLeVe Fest 2003, WZZO 95.1FM Showcase at Musikfest 2001, Mayfair 2003 Music and Arts Festical, Musikfest 2001, Mayfair 2001 Music and Arts Festival, RiverFusion Music Festival 2004.
