Thomas of mystified has been involved with music for over 20 years. In the late nineties, Thomas caught the electronic music bug, and he has been writing furiously since. His skills as a composer and DJ (DJ PanMuse) got him featured in Spin Magazine ( 11/2000, P. 168 ). He changed his approach from techno-industrial to ambient upon networking with Robin Storey of Rapoon. Mr. Storey's influence throughout a remix project was very powerful, and he remains a strong influence for Thomas. One of Thomas' albums, the out of print "Music For Transit", was featured in the Soleilmoon Records catalog for some time.

Thomas kept writing away-- he enjoys being prolific and feels that writing a lot and writing well are related ideas.

Note that this cd has been selected in 4/2005 as an "Editor's Pick" in the ambient genre at CDBaby.com, and shortly thereafter qualified as an "Editor's Pick" in the industrial genre, as well.

5/2005-- We were bumped off of the "Editor's Picks" in Ambient music here, but remain a solid "Pick" in Industrial music. We also sold out once and have successfully restocked-- so get 'em while you can. . .

"Mystified's 'Vagabond, Pirate' is a Twilight Zone episode of bleak test patterns, fierce Martian storms, spooky samples, cinematic drama, haunted-house nightmares and ubiquitous background noise brought to the fore. It is the sound of steam-powered android servants clanking after their masters at a post-apocalyptic flea market; of a pulsing reactor core in the bowels of a society so deep underground that the sun is merely a rumor; of a dance club for catatonics in a fugue state; of a futile comedy, in which a Seismograph needle bounces up and down within a weather-warning facility, thousands of years after humanity's demise." --Byron Kerman, Playback Magazine

"Really dig your CD Thomas. Excellent work! As they say, 'you can drop the needle anywhere'." -- Don Campau, No Pigeonholes Radio
