All Genres > Electronic > Ambient > MIRAZ AND SARA: Hidden Soundtracks of the Found Mind

A avant-garde electronic album with overtones of world music that sends out a positive vibe. It includes haunting vocals, Persian Setar and double headed flute from painter /musician Sara who also doubles on Synthesisers with electronic musician/graphic designer Miraz.
After returning from Berlin from doing DJ sets and some recording engineering jobs, Miraz Re-Collaberated wih Sara (they played in another electronic Outfit "Blast Away" in the late 90's) and came up with this release. Tracks such as "belief" and "so what" are sonic soundscapes that send the listener to the outer limits of their mental scope without force. "setar dream" is a combination of Persian setar played by sara and a physically modeled setar by Miraz and done live in studio together. Their was also great care in making the piece sound like "old" Persian Classical music on bootleg Analog cassetes. "you should play version 1 and 2" are from a ghost story written by Miraz and is being considerd for a film production. "sara s strings" is an electronic piece culled from an impro of some symphonic audio sketches by Sara, futher enhanced by Miraz with a live drum loop and MINI-Moog-Bass. "i want to know" is a piece that delves into techno without the usual fanfare. Sara's voice soaring while Miraz keeps it at bay with his synthesisers and mesmerizing beat.

Sara has released her first solo effort "beyond infinity" an ambient excursion much in the vein of Brian Eno. please check it out in the Miraz gallery.

As for Miraz, he is Currently remixing and mastering two "Very Different Genre" Albums as well as the followup to "Hidden Soundtracks..."
