I remember on my band director's door there hung a poster with a diagram of music careers and opportunities. I knew then at the age of twelve that I would pursue not only a career in music but that it had already become a part of who I was. I became very involved in the band playing the flute, the jazz ensemble playing keyboard, and singing in and eventually becoming the choirs accompanist. I also performed each year in the annual musical that gave me a sense of great fulfillment. It gave me the opportunity to be involved in a group production which was such a fabulous experience. Once in college, majoring in music I formed a trio with two female singers and landed my first gig at a local restaurant. I performed regularly at public restaurants while studying to get my degree in music as a performance major. I could not write my bio without mentioning my biggest influence. That person would definitely be my piano teacher whom I met when I was ten years old. She believed in me and pushed me to always achieve my best and work towards my dream. Part of that dream has always been my writing. I have been writing songs ever since I can remember. One of my goals was to record my own CD. After graduating from college I set forth on a path to find where I belonged and to also make a living in music. Throughout the next few years I worked many jobs that were not related to music before finally getting gigs playing and singing in hotels, restaurants and private country clubs. I was also building a teaching studio and between the two careers I have been able to make a living doing what I love. I also fulfilled another dream, which was to record my CD of original music. I now reside in Atlanta, Georgia and continue to perform, teach and have plans to record a second CD. I feel very fortunate to have been blessed with a talent that allows me to spend my life doing what I feel I was always meant to do.
