In the late 80's and early 90's, Kate was on her way to becoming a household name. Her song and video, "Love Waits" was in the top 10 on the charts. She traveled the nation on 100-city tours, appeared on Christian radio and television programs, and performed in churches, public schools, and colleges, singing for tens of thousands of people across the country. As things began to take off on the music end, Kate's mother became terminally ill. Kate decided to put her career on hold temporarily to care for her dying mother, despite the warnings of her music management at that time. Her mother lived for another two years, the bottom fell out of her career, and then Kate became ill herself. After recovering, she worked in the publishing field as an editor, moved from Nashville to Arizona and then to her home state of Florida to be near family. A music director of a small church in north central Florida discovered Kate's hidden talent and coaxed her back out of her shell. Kate's unique voice and new songs she had written profoundly touched people and opportunities began to unfold. Kate originally began singing country pop music before crossing over into contemporary Christian and then on to more inclusive, secular areas. Her music has since evolved into a unique blend of easy-listening soft pop with New World sounds and New Thought inspirational messages. After her sabbatical from music, Kate returned to the recording studio in 2004. The result was the release of her album "Beyond Myself" in May of 2005. As requested by her growing audience, she will release another album "Just Believe" this year, 2006. In addition to writing, composing, and recording music, Kate is a professional photographer. Currently, she's working on authoring an inspirational book to be published in the near future. Her healing music and messages are shared at Sunday church services and in concerts. BEYOND MYSELF (released May 2005) "Beyond Myself" delivers positive songs within an easy listening pop music style. These healing messages are written by Katelyn Hart and other talented, spiritual songwriters. Featuring some well-known Nashville musicians and background vocalists, this album is brought to you in full, professional production.
