Instrumentalist and guitarist Ronnda Cadle has been playing guitar for over 18 years. Although she was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, she now calls Atlanta, Georgia her home. In the late 80's Ronnda started her musical career in a heavy metal cover band in Baltimore but soon turned to the acoustic guitar when she heard an amazing guitar intro on the radio. "Who's that guy playing?" she asked. She couldn't believe the response, "That's Heart, and it's not a guy it's a woman and her name is Nancy Wilson". From that moment Ronnda began her relationship with the acoustic guitar. Several years passed and Ronnda moved to Columbus, Ohio where she formed her first acoustic duo with friend and singer Jennifer Feldon. The next year she met Betsy Brushart and formed her second duo. Betsy moved on to Nashville and Ronnda decided to move to Atlanta to continue her musical endeavors. Once in Atlanta she co-founded a six piece folk rock band called Adlib, which after many member changes became Fat Chance. This band performed at many Atlanta and southeastern venues, recording their first CD with Grammy Award winning producer Don McCollister (Indigo Girls, Sister Hazel, Shawn Mullins) When Fat Chance disband in 2002, Ronnda was opened up to play with American Music Awards "Best Unsigned Artist", Moe Loughran (http://www.moerocks.com). This move enabled Ronnda to tour London and play many other well known venues around the country. 2006 holds a new vision and movement for Ronnda as she releases her first solo instrumental collection called "The River Runs", again working with producer Don McCollister. "I choose to work with Don because I feel he is the only one who can capture the emotion of an acoustic piece. He brings the listener to a deep understanding of what I am saying through my music." Ronnda credits her musical influences for shaping her as both a guitar player and as a person. Her main contributing influences include Nancy Wilson, Caroline Aiken, and Emily Saliers. "I wouldn't be the player I am today if it were not for these strong and amazing women. I hope to bring my own voice to the generations of women who follow."
