In 1999, Jason Squires picked up the guitar for the first time in a high school guitar class, not knowing he would be inspired to write and play music. Soon after he began playing, Jason's youth pastor found out and asked him to play worship songs at Bible study each week. From there, the worship leading opportunities increased from youth group Bible studies to Awana with elementary aged children to Bible Club at high school. Wherever Jason went, the guitar went too. The following year, someone asked Jason if he wanted to play in his high school chapel. Excited by the idea to play with a team, he jumped at the opportunity. He loved the idea to play with a band. Since Jason's first experience as a worship leader in 2001, many have followed. Jason started leading his high school chapels regularly. In addition, he led weekly community youth nights of approximately 300 junior and senior high school students. Besides youth events, Jason began leading worship at several churches and community events around Sacramento and throughout Northern California. He also worked as a worship leader for six months when he felt the tug on his heart to be a traveling artist. Currently Jason is a Music Major in his third year of college at William Jessup University in Rocklin, California. As you can see, Jason just released his first album, and has been traveling doing concerts to promote it.
