Lan lives in the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia and is involved in many artistic pursuits. She has entered many song writing competitions and gained a Unisong Certificate of Achievement with "You're My Soul Mate," a song written for her best friend when she was getting married. She is currently working on a musical and is a cartoonist who contributes to the local news magazine. A Bowerbird is a native bird of Australia that collects bright objects and shiny items of interest to line its nest with, blue being a particularly favorite colour.
