Allan Omar Castro's first CD presents 14 songs taken from his NYC cabaret show repertoire. They were personally picked by Allan and included in his first CD because these selections are very close to his heart. Most of them were included because of personal reasons . Allan associates very much with the songs he chose. This compilation allows us to present to you a peak into the life of this budding cabaret artist.

The songs come alive and paint visions of nostalgic passion, love and romance in the listeners mind because Allan sings with absolute simplicity, clarity and sensitivity. He embraces each song with his strong and mellow tenor voice and each song shines with authentic emotions coming from his soul.

Allan's voice is versatile. It can carry the listener to different emotional levels . The listener can immediately discern the versatile delivery which presents shades and scenarios of life like joy, sorrow, yearning, inspiration and hope. Allan is constantly compared to the voices of Michael Feinstein, Johnny Matthis, a bit of Frank, shades of Donny Osmond. He takes this as a complement but as you listen to each track of this CD, you will discover the voice , the emotions, the musical experience that is wonderfully unique, simply Allan Castro's.

Conrd Erdt accompanied Allan Omar Castro in this CD compilation of classic standards and broadway songs. His excellent accompaniment complemented Allan's vocals. Like the vocal rendition, the accompaniment also features a work that focused on intimacy of rendition.

Allan was born and raised in the Philippines. He moved to the USA in 1995 and is a Medical Technologist by profession. Allan works in a hospital based medical laboratory. He considers himself to be very lucky because of the opportunity to be in the world of science as well as entertainment. Currently, he sings with various choirs in New Jersey. Allan loves both sacred and secular music. He cantored in church and has appears in numerous social functions as guest performer. He is constantly involved with NJ community theatre productions. His first major exposure in the cabaret scene happened in NYC. He presented an SRO show, From The Heart, at Pegasus cabaret lounge in Manhattan. The show highlighted his vocal range and sensitive , emotion-packed interpretations of classic standards as well as songs derived from the stage and screen.

As a person, Allan Castro is well-liked and his personality is gentle, sensitive, kind, sweet, charming and very warm. He is cheerful, funny and considerate. These very traits are very apparent in his voice . On stage, he shines and captures the audience attention immediately. He sings with an energy that brings the audience to him.
