Billed as a celebration of music from America's Rivers, "The River's Call" is a live recording of singer-songwriter Bob Sembiante's one man show as performed on the boats of the Delta Queen Steamboat Company. The show contains songs from the Golden Age of Steamboating, contemporary river music by artists including Garth Brooks, Charley Pride and Roger Miller, and original songs written by Sembiante. Recorded "on land" at the Downtown Cabaret Theatre of Bridgeport, CT, the CD showcases a band of seven and is Sembiante's debut recording. Bob is grateful for the help of Michael Holland on this project. Michael arranged three of the tunes on the recording, including his own "River in the Summertime."
