Ruffino Ortiz born in the city of Lima Peru, son of Brigida Estrada and Carlos Ortiz is considered one of the most talented international guitar players. He plays countless types, rhythms and music styles from different parts of the world. His versatility and incredible passion for music get transformed in the most beautiful melodies that are marvelously expressed through his guitar; all these qualities allow us to present to music lovers his first musical work, done entirely in New York, "The City that never sleeps." For many years Ruffino worked in Peru as Mrs. Chabuca Granda's guitar player; he was the pioneer of the Afro Cuban music in that country, for he played for many important musical bands; he also played the guitar for a great number of artist in television performances. In New York he recorded with Mr. Mario Bauza; he also recorded many LPs with our beloved singer Miguelito Poventud; worked in various shows with the well-known radio and television journalist Mrs Malin Falu; played for personalities in the music industry as Vicentico Valdez, Danny Rivera, Eddie Gonzalez, and many others of equal rank.
