"Metharphosis" - that's metamorphosis of harp from a traditional accompanying instrument to an iride-scent performance act. Ulla van Daelen combines substancial classical playing techniques with elements from popular music, world music and jazz. They make up a creative and well-balanced mixture that ultimately ends the harp's shadowy existence among orchestral instruments. Indeed, harp becomes a colourful butterfly of stage performance. Some of the best musicians available helped to shape the compositions: (tracklist) Saxophone legend Charlie Mariano, voice wonder Peter Fessler, turkish musicians Selcuk Sahinoglu and Fethi Ak, Berthold Matschat, keyboard and jazz mouth organ and my faithful fellow musicians Urs Fuchs (b,perc) Mario Argandona (perc), Klaus Mages (perc), Bernd Keul (b,keyb) and Natasha Pederson (oboe).
