Ellsworth "Mike" Moyer began his violin studies at the age of nine in violin class lessons in Elkhart, Indiana Public School System. Very quickly his talent was recognized and he began private lessons with Ms. Susan Brennan. At the age of 14, Mr. Moyer won the Progress Club Award Competition and as a result made his debut, performing the Mozart A Major Concerto with the South Bend Jr. Symphony, directed by Sigmont Gaska.
Graduating from Elkhart High School, Mr. Moyer was accepted at Chicago Music College in 1947. While there he studied with the world-renowned violin teacher, Professor, Paul Stassevich.
Mr. Moyer's other credits include Concert Master and Soloist with the Anchorage Civic Symphony, Concert Master and Soloist with the Boise Civic Symphony, member of the Bermondsy Symphony, London, England, concertmaster of the Combined Symphonic Orchestras of Boise, Idaho. He was soloist and member of the Levittown Civic Symphony, plus a member of the Idianapolis Philharmonic Orchestra.
