My earliest memories of music were from my grandfather Milton, who played piano like no one else. He loved performing for family and friends, and eventually began to take requests from customers at the little bar he had purchased after retiring from his welding job. Playing from memory and by ear, he loved the honky-tonk and ragtime tunes from the 20's and 30's, and more often than not had a reel-to-reel going at his home studio. My paternal grandfather was from North Carolina, and he loved to eat fried chicken, biscuits and gravy. I also remember the country music that was a constant companion in his home. The boots that I wear in my photos belonged to him.

Tennessee Country is a mixture of tracks inspired by the musical diversity and styles that this great state represents. This musical legacy has been handed down for all the world to enjoy by all the great singers, songwriters, and musicians before me. It is difficult to categorize this compilation of songs because the collection encompasses and crosses the musical boundaries of traditional, country, rock and blues. This is my contribution; this is Tennessee Country.
