Otto and Strassa Von Rodzenheimer came to the New World from the Old Country with their young daughters Helga and Olga. Otto had been a Norweigen Cowboy most of his life so, naturally, he headed Out West. Soon the family was performing at rodeos across the country. Otto "Slim" Rhodes roped cattle and Strassa "Abbey" Rhodes became, of course, a Rodeo Queen. Little Helga and Olga, now performing as "Dusty" and "Misty", learned cowboy songs around the campfire at night.

En route to a Rodeo in Pocatello the family got separated in a train station in Twin Falls when Dusty and Misty wandered off in search of "something sweet". Dusty, distracted, boarded a train headed south where she kept up her roping skills at a Dude Ranch in the High Desert. Meanwhile, Misty mistakenly boarded a train headed north and was even reported to have been raised for a few years by an old Guru who lived in a cave. Abbey, emotionally torn in two from her experience at the station, remained in Twin Falls, utterly confused, working as a Dance Hall Girl in a local launderette....She was kinda strange.

As the Rodes Family grew in fame, they also grew in size, bringing more cousins, aunts and uncles over from 'back home'. At one time there were 62 members of the now infamous Rhodes Rodeo Riders. Reunited at a rodeo in Winnamucca, Misty and Dusty carry on the family tradition, singing songs of the Old West, Cowboys, Romance, Cowboys, Adventure, Intrigue and Cowboys.
