This CD is a compilation of some of my favorite songs I have written. Since I am not a singer, I just sing the song on tape and play the melody on keyboard for the band to record. Once they learn the songs, they record these in a recording studio to master and complete the CD. I began loving country music in the 1970's. The stories told in the songs are what I liked the most. I always wanted to write songs. Then later in life when my mother died, that same weekend, my oldest son had moving plans and the youngest son got his driver's license. Suddenly there was a great void in my life and lots of time on my hands. So, in the spring of 1998, I began to write country ballads. Then I wrote 21 gospel songs and am working on two cds now. I always try to write songs where the music and lyrics work together and that is the real challenge and fun part of writing songs.
