The Phantom
"Where's The Jobs"
The Phantom's newest release arrived at radio the first of August, 2004. The title song "Where's The Jobs" is for all of us in this great USA who work for a living. Hope you like it. Thanks Radio!!!

As for The Phantom, I'll bet you could be wondering who he is and where he came from. Well...here goes...

The Phantom is a person with a love for music that dates back to is first memory. He grew up listening to Hank Williams and Merle Haggard to name a few. He was playing guitar at 12 and fronting a band at 15. During high school The Phantom won the talent contest singing "Okie from Muskogee". He plays base guitar, lead and rhythm guitar, but his favorite instrument is the pedal steel guitar. He played steel for many stars as they traveled and did shows in the Texas area, such as Tennessee Ernie Ford, Johnny Rodriguez, Janie Frickie, Johnny Duncan, Wendell Atkins, Gilley's House Band, Johnny Bush and the list goes on. He was one of the members of the original Cotton Eye Joe Band. The Phantom began to write songs in his mid teens and still does till today.

A favorite memory...he listened to the radio show that broadcast the "Gilley's" show and said "One day I'm gonna play there" and guess what...he did.

He appeared on the Louisiana Hay Ride Show and has done harmony vocals for Jimmy Snow during the Grand Ole Gospel Show broadcast from Nashville from the Grand Ole Opry House.

The Phantom moved to Nashville, TN and got a day job helping on the project to restore the Ryman Auditorium. As fate would have it, The Phantom ended up writing the last song written in the original Ryman Auditorium which is now listed in the Country Music Hall of Fame Library. What an honor! The story is a fun one...too long for this bio...so we're saving it for the book. By the way...that's when everybody started calling him "The Phantom".

Soon thereafter, The Phantom released his first single "The Blues Sure Do Come Around" which did very well in the independent charts for 14 weeks.

In August, 2004, just after we released this single "Where's The Jobs", The Phantom received a thank you note from President Bill Clinton...(for this CD) giving us his best wishes. What a moment! Thanks to you Mr. President and hope you have a speedy recovery!
