Robert Armstrong is a founding member of R. Crumb and the Cheap Suit Serenaders. He played musical saw on the sound track of One Flew Over the Cookoo's Nest. He continues to play with the Cheap Suits, as well as with Sourdough Slim, Janet Kline, and others. He's also a well-known graphic artist who did our CD cover (8 panels) as well as the covers of many other CDs and records. He plays Hawaiian steel guitar, uke, 6- and 5-string banjos, musical saw, jug and percussion. Keith Cary is a musician and instrument builder. He built or modified many of the instruments on the CD. His tastes run from back-woods country to free-form improvization. He has performed or recorded with Jolie Holland, John Tchicai, and John Vanderslice, among others. He plays cello, resonator mandolin, aluminum string bass, fiddle, harmonica, tuba, and homemade pots-and-pans cello. Bill Scholer is a blues and jazz performer well-known in the Sacramento Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area for his rockin' renditions of blues standards as well as his own jazz and blues compositions. He has performed with many famous artists, including Barry Melton, of The Fish and John Tchicai. He plays 6- and 12-string guitars and resonator bottleneck guitar. We all live in Northern California, between SF and Sacramento. Check out the artist's website: http://www.armst.net/robert/ Track List: 1. I lost my gal from Memphis 2. Vicksburg Stomp 3.
