Joe Whitehead is a retired engineer who now devotes full time to music. He operates a home based recording studio (TexasTrax Recording)near Decatur, Texas; plays keyboard in a country band (Western Star Band), and writes and records his own music in his spare time. You can visit his web site at www.texas-trax.com

Joe studied classical piano in his early years, played a lot of gospel music, then switched over to country in the 1980's. People who hear Joe sing invariably say he sounds like Willie Nelson. Since he retired from the rat race, and let his hair grow long, some say he looks like Willie Nelson.

The album, "One More Valley", was produced at TexasTrax, with Joe playing all the instrumentals, and singing all the vocals himself ,except for one female vocal, in the song "I'll Be Lovin' You". Accompaniment is mostly accoustical (piano, accoustic guitar, harmonica, bass, and light drums). A horn solo is heard in one of the love songs.
