I will tell you how I came to write the songs on this album.
Daddy was a guitar man: This song was written for audience participation as you can easily sing along with the refrain.
Devil cat: This song is about the fast ferry service that once ran between George Town and Melbourne.
Dinki-di-diesel-addict: refers to the truck driving people who treasure their free way of life and look after their big rigs.
Kind Folks: This was the first song I ever wrote dedicated to the good hearted folks in the world.
Judge and Jury: Reminds us that we should not be too judgemental through life.
Perkins the Penguin: Is about a little fellow who became trapped in the oil spill from the Iron Baron when it went up on Hebe reef in the mouth of the Tamar river.
Iron Baron: Self explanatory.
My mustard coloured Moggie [cat]: I wrote this for my grand children and included it so that other children could enjoy it also.
Hennessy: is about an old red setter that a neighbour of mine had, they were great mates.
Roll along Duffy: About an old timer remembering his faithful blue heeler dog.
Spirit of tasmania: This ship ran between Tasmania and Melbourne.
