This album "Don't Rain on my Party" was released in Europe in 1998 and quickly became a hit. One European DJ wrote Jim and said he played his whole album on his show, which he never did for any other artist. Jim received many letters from European DJs saying they loved his album. He was for one week second most played artist in Europe. This album also received airplay at receptive stations in the USA. Jim received an award from the International Country Music Association for his song "That Old Mailbox", being top ten most requested song for two years in a row on Web Radio.
