"A Tribute to Home, Love, Family & Those Who Protect The American Dream" My friend Scott Angello came to me early in 2005 with a request to write a song for a military benefit. Since my home is in Colorado Springs, Colorado, I’m particularly sensitive to the plights and sacrifices of those who wear our country’s uniform. Together with my beautiful wife, Joyful, “On Your Birthday†was created. From there, my destiny continued to unfold with nine additional original songs. This album is a tribute. First and foremost, it’s a tribute to the US military, with special recognition of the trials of the family left behind. Second, it’s a tribute to the ups and downs of everyday life with marriage and family -- the building blocks of society. Finally, this album is a tribute to the desires of the soul: the need for love and connection; the need to get away; the need to recharge; the need to better ourselves, our country and our world. Many months of effort, many days of examination and re-examination, many hours of soul-searching have given birth to this project. Thank you for believing in our dream. My prayer is that these compositions speak to you about the lives and sacrifices of our citizens in uniform and the passions and longings within.
