If you enjoy Merle Haggard, and Hoyt Axton, and the Statler Brothers then you have the same good taste as Ann Pascoe. While, of course, Ann sounds nothing like these icons of country music, they are the ones whose music got her interested in first, songwriting, and then later singing. New to the country music scene, this New Zealand singer uses another well known song writer, American Roy G. Ownbey's compositions for her second album Misty Morning Memories. Roy says this after he received his copies of Misty Morning Memories : "I received the CDs and I love them. You did the songs in an excellent way, and the studio quality is real fine, too. I think your design of the package is just right. As I said before, you have a beautiful voice, and I wish you great success with the project." Already fans are commenting like this one from the UK: "I have not stopped listening to your M.M.M, every spare half hour I have had! Even midnight Monday, when I sat with a cup of coffee and the headphones on, and enjoyed that half hour with the voice of an angel! I don't know any other way of putting it; you put your heart into to every track. Getting the Nashville sound you must have friends in high places. I sincerely hope this is a number one for you." Being accepted on to a Hillcrest compilation CD in May 2004 has given Ann lots of airplay throughout the world, and has her name on many radio playlists. And now Hillcrest has released another track on the January 2005 release. Her name is still in the arena of country music throughout the world through these releases. This album will be the beginning of things to come, and should be in your music library. Look for a new album later this year (2005), when Ann records more of Roy Ownbey's songs, some she and Roy have co-written, and some, Ann's originals. "I just love singing," says Ann, and you'd better believe it. She sings from the heart, and it shows in her Misty Morning Memories.
