HIPBOOTJOE has brought their unique brand of southern fried country/rock to the masses since their formation in April 2001. They have opened for acts such as Tracy Lawrence, Aaron Neville, The Little River Band, Doug Stone, The Oak Ridge Boys, Uncle Kracker, and many others. They have also shared billing with The Los Lonely Boys, Marc Broussard, Cowboy Mouth, Gatemouth Brown, Delbert McClinton, Sonny Landreth, The Dirty Dozen Band, Lee Williams, and many others! Their unique style and individual versatility allows them to perform many genres of music. HIPBOOTJOE has recently released a self-titled, ten song, all original album which hi-lights their true musical spectum. Several thousand copies of this album have been sold by the band. The group also released a gospel album on Blackberry Records.This album features their song "Get Saved", recorded with the Grammy nominated Williams Brothers. Not only has it garnered national airplay on radio and television, including BET, but it was also nominated for both the GMA's Contemporary Gospel Song of the Year and Contemporary Gospel Album of the Year in 2005. "Get Saved" has also appeared on a gospel compilation album entitled "Good Time Gospel." The band was included on 2 live DVD performances filmed at the Earthlink Theatre in Atlanta, Georgia. The DVD's entitled "SoulLink Live" and "Soul Link Live II" feature the band along with some of the most legendary gospel artists in the business. HIPBOOTJOE has performed in many large venues and is currently the premier act in the gulf coast's hottest clubs including: Brew Pub at the Beau Rivage Casino/Resort (Biloxi, MS), Gold Strike Casino (Tunica, MS), Spinnaker's Beach Club (Panama City, FL), AJ's (Destin, FL), Chilkoot Charlie's (Anchorage, Alaska), House of Blues, and Club Utopia (Bourbon Street). The combination of harmonica, mandolin, fiddle, guitars, percussion and dobro has to be heard to appreciate the marvelous intensity of their hard-hitting, sizzling, rootsy instrumental base.
